Rajya Sabha MP and Congress spokesperson Abhishek Singhvi chaired the 30-member parliamentary panel that presented its voluminous report earlier this month on the Lokpal Bill 2011. The report has points of divergence with both the official Lokpal Bill draft and the Team Anna version.

The Parliamentary panel, which is examining the Lokpal Bill, sought an extension of one week after a sudden volt face by Congress members of the committee over the inclusion of Group C officers in the ambit of the graft ombudsman.

But this is a very unforgiving profession and very early on, if you do not work hard enough and if you are not able to prove yourself in a few cases, the system rejects you. The initial push is only like a rebuttable presumption in your favour. Abhishek Manu Singhvi elected to RS

Jaipur: Congress leaders Abhishek Manu Singhvi and Narendra Budania and BJP’s Bhupendra Yadav were Thurswday elected unopposed to the Rajya Sabha.His association with the media has been noted since a long time, with the help of his expression force and communication through his amusing and humorous, self-possessed non emotional conversational talks.
